Fire truck in the neigborhood

Postby Jeremy O » Fri Jul 31, 2009 9:08 am

Just so no one is alarmed...

A tree branch fell over the power line in front of 2492 E Tupelo yesterday. GA Power was notified and came out, but did not act immediately because it was a large branch and not touching the line (therefore not an immediate threat.) After more weather last night and today, the branch is now touching the line and arcing. GA Power and the fire dept are on their way/at the scene now to deal with the issue.

Okay well I have my own fire truck story. The house next door at 1526 has had a smoke alarm going off for a while. I couldn't see smoke but called the non-emergency dispatch number. They decided to send out the Fire Department. They couldn't find signs of fire thankfully. So aside from the constant beeping from the house everything seems to be okay.
